Australian Ceramics Open Studio

Open Studio

Australian Ceramics Open Studios | 7 & 8 November

For the first time, I’m opening the doors of my studio as part of Australian Ceramics Open Studios.

An opportunity to step inside the space where Ignem Terrae is created, explore the processes behind my work and see the materials, tools and techniques that are involved when I create each piece.

Join me on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November, for a weekend dedicated to ceramics, making and creative exploration.

A selection of sculptural and functional ceramics will be available to purchase, alongside studio samples, experimental pieces and seconds not ordinarily offered for sale.

Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 November 2026, 10am to 4pm
10 Anglo Street, Chatswood
Free entry. No bookings required.

Studio Samples & Seconds

Throughout the making process, there are pieces that emerge through experimentation, subtle variations in form or unexpected results in the kiln.

For the Open Studio weekend, I'll be offering a selection of these works at special studio prices.

Samples & One-Offs

Unique pieces developed through glaze testing, material exploration and experimentation with form. These include works that informed existing collections, as well as individual pieces that were never developed further.

Studio Seconds

Pieces with minor imperfections or variations in their surface, glaze or form. While they may not meet the standards of the final collection, they remain functional and offer an opportunity to own an original handmade piece at a reduced price.

A selection of current Ignem Terrae pieces will also be available, including sculptural vessels, platters, bowls, incense holders and vases.

Inside the Making Process

Each piece at Ignem Terrae is shaped through an ongoing exploration of form, movement and material.

The Open Studio weekend offers a glimpse into this process, from working with raw clay through to glazing and firing. You'll have the opportunity to see the working studio, explore pieces at different stages of making and gain a deeper understanding of the techniques behind the finished objects.

Whether you're a fellow ceramic artist, a collector or simply interested in the creative process, I'd love to welcome you into the studio.
